Have a friend who just signed up for Kaiser insurance. Went for her initial visit in Frederick MD. She needed additional testing: they wanted to send her 25 miles to one facility for one test, 25 miles to another facilty for another test and 40 miles to another facility for another test. All while there were physicians in the area, within 5 miles, that accepted her the Kaiser insurance. They just wanted to keep it in the Kaiser network, no matter the cost or inconvenience to her. You think that they'd take the patients health and well being into consideration, instead of their pocketbooks !

I have long had Kaiser P. coverage and it started out fine. It is, however, becoming increasingly centralized, distanced from the customer and bureaurcratic. Such is after all, the organic progression of all socialistic programs so no surprise here.

I am keenly disappointed to see KP jump on the Obamacare band wagon, a vehicle I'm sure is headed straight to disaster. Obamacare is not only pure socialism, it is unconstitutional. Has anyone there at the Corporate level even read the US Constitution ? I'll wager that the President of KP has not.

You have created a "straw man" extreme hypothetical argument. Kaiser is advertising for a Managing Director of Investments to oversee its $40 billion stash, the profits of which are not taxed.

Kaiser Permanente’s Non-Profit Scam

The Kaiser Foundation Health Plan contracts with the for-profit Permanente Medical Groups to provide all medical care to patients, who are Kaiser members. Because Kaiser funnels all members to “a for-profit” doctor partnership, Kaiser Permanente is a for-profit medical care provider just like other health plans. Original investigations are posted on YouTube and HMO Hardball.

Get the Union/Guild to pay for the what the Pharmacists are looking for. Been with Kaiser before... worked for them too. The union is the biggest problem at Kaiser. They protect all the rotten apples there. There are so many people who have no self respect, but want the everything, they don't deserve. They should just go on welfare and complain to the politicians:)

Pharmacists staying together is fine, as long as customers don't end up paying for it in continually higher fees. To many times labor gets too much from big business, who only pass on the "savings."

I believe that the agreement between Kaiser and Walgreens should never happen. Pharmacists should stay together. If Kaiser gets anywhere close to what they are showing us Kaiser Pharmacists (I am one). The Walgreens pharmacists will be making less than that when it comes to their negotiations. Information coming to us about the strike, was very late, keeping us updated on if they are having meetings or having "timeouts" ... that information is not available. Our lives are in the hands of people we truly do not know.
